Get To Know Living Waters Church…

our church

We appreciate you taking the time to visit us on the web here at Living Waters Church.  Understanding that it is hard to find a great social network to plug into, we want to provide a place for those in our community where you can grow and worship in your faith.  We do our best at our church to create a friendly and genuine atmosphere that is relative and inviting to anyone who visits.

We are a church family who wishes to grow stronger in faith, joy and love through earnest worship, relevant teaching and the recognition that we serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

We would love you to join our worship service every Sunday and we pray that your experience here brings you closer to God.

Service Time: 10:00am

our mission

Striving to help you connect to Jesus:
The mission of Livimg Waters Church is based upon Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well in John 4. Jesus brought living water to this woman and we hope to bring living water to the people of Parsippany and the surrounding communities. In order to bring this living water to people we need to follow the example of Jesus…
~ Jesus met her where she was – at the well – His ministry went out into the community
~ Jesus crossed over racial, social, and religious barriers to meet her
~ Jesus accepted her as she was but helped her be all that she could be
~ Jesus spoke to her about her physical needs as well as her spiritual needs
~ Jesus spoke to her about eternal life
~ Jesus spoke to her choices that had led to her broken relationships
~Jesus involved her in ministry right away – the whole town came to Jesus as the result of her testimony
Mission Statement: God’s Presence: Seek It! Keep It! Reveal It!

We desire to be a Presence seeking, Presence keeping, Presence revealing church!

Exodus 33:14-15 – My Presence will go with you…

Matthew 28:20 – [Jesus said] I am with you always…

statement of faith

We are a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Click the icon to learn more about the Alliance.
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, God incarnate. He came in human form to sacrifice Himself, once for all, that we might not perish but have eternal life. This is the bedrock of our belief—the spiritual DNA of The Alliance. Our family tree bears the fruit of the Deeper Life, Fourfold Gospel, and the “living out” of Alliance Core Values—all fueling our uncompromising call to “go!” wherever and whenever God leads.
We believe that the Bible is eternal truth without any mixture of error and is the complete and final revelation of the will of God to man (Psalm 119:160; John 17:17; Revelation 22:18-19; 2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe that the Bible teaches that there is one and only one eternal and true God, but He is manifested in three separate persons in the Godhead: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. These three are co-existent, co-equal, and co-eternal (John 1:1; I John 5:7; Matthew 3:16-17).
We believe that He is all knowing (omniscient Psalm 147:5); all powerful (omnipotent Job 42:2); everywhere present (omnipresent Psalm 139); and His nature is absolutely unchangeable (immutable Malachi 3:6).
We believe that He took upon Himself human form through the virgin birth for the purpose of redemption (John 1:14; Matthew 1:18). That he led a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross (Hebrews 9:23-28, 10:10). That He physically arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4). That He ascended to heaven’s glory and is at the right hand of the Father serving as our mediator, and He will return to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Acts 1:9, 11; Titus 2:13; I Timothy 2:5; Romans 8:34).
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person equal with God The Father and God The Son and of the same nature (John 16:13; Acts 5:3-4). That He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He indwells every believer from the moment of salvation. He provides the believer with power for living and witnessing, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right (Acts 1:8; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17). Upon salvation, He gives every believer a spiritual gift for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:7-16).
We believe that Salvation, the reconciliation of man’s fallen relationship with God, is a Divine work solely dependent upon the grace of God through the finished work of Christ (Romans 5:11; John 1:12-13; Ephesians 1:7). That Salvation is a free gift available to all men. It cannot be earned by any works of man (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:14-16). That man receives Salvation upon hearing the Word of God, being convicted of his lost condition, repenting and putting his trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour (Romans 10:17; Romans 10:9,10; Acts 3:19, 4:12). That Salvation is eternally secure through Jesus Christ (John 10:27-30).
We believe in the return of Christ as described in the following two events: The return of Christ in the clouds for His church before the Tribulation period (The Rapture – 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 3:10, 4:1) and the Pre-Millennial return of Christ to the earth to rule and reign (Zechariah 14:1-4; Revelation 19:11-16).
We believe people are created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through His forgiveness and salvation (John 3:16-18; Romans 8:7,18). That those who have put their trust in Christ will live forever with Him in a literal Heaven (Revelation 21:1-4). That those who reject Christ will be cast into the Lake of Fire with the devil and his angels for all eternity (Revelation 20:10-15).

What does Dave do at Living Waters Church?

Dave is currently serving as the Lead Pastor at Living Waters Church.  Besides his Preaching and teaching duties, he oversees the overall operations of the church which includes: communications, technology, Prayer, Outreach and Fellowship and creation of church atmosphere.   Dave also involved in a L.I.F.E. group and the “Band of Brothers” men’s ministry.

About Dave

Dave has served in ministry for over 20 years, starting as a Youth Pastor in Morristown, then served as a Senior Pastor in New Brunswick.  He helped plant a new church in Morristown called “The Well Christian Ministry” along with Pete Amerman.  Dave and his wife June live in Morristown and have been happily married over 40 years.  They have three children and five grandchildren.

Favorite things to do

Dave loves watching and playing sports, is a big NY Giants and Boston Red Sox fan and is glad the curse of the bambino is past history (sorry Yankee fans).  He enjoys the outdoors.  His favorite place to hang out is the beach to just sit and chill and listen to the ocean.  He also loves music and plays some guitar and has recently started playing the drums again.   Dave also loves hanging out with his family especially his children and grandchildren.

Three things you may not have known about David are…

Dave joined the Navy out of high school even though he gets seasick.  Thankfully he spent 4 years in the Navy and never stepped foot on a ship – go try to figure that one out.

While living in Scotland for 2 years (thanks to the US Navy) Dave tried to learn how to play the bagpipes but gave it up after realizing he wouldn’t look good in a kilt.  His wife June was thrilled.

Dave once played in an exhibition game with the minor league baseball team the Indianapolis Clowns (Hank Aaron once played for them as a shortstop in 1952).  In that game he pitched, played catcher (not at the same time) and got the game winning hit.  It was the final game the Clowns ever played together.

Dr. Peter Amerman is Pastor of Discipleship, in charge of discipleship, small groups ministries and bible studies at Living Waters Church. He teaches courses and runs a weightlifting program at the Market Street Mission (Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation) in Morristown, NJ, assisting men in their quest to be “strong in body, mind and spirit”. He also loves to look at the stars, planets and deep sky objects through his telescope. His passion is to go deeper with God through Jesus Christ, and to train and equip other men & women (especially leaders) in “whole-life” discipleship. His greatest blessing from God is his family- married to his best friend and ministry partner, Susan for 39 years; blessed with 2 daughters, 2 sons-in-law; and 7 grandchildren.

Mike and Janice met at their prior church and have been serving together ever since. They are extremely excited to be here and look forward to see how God will move in the overall ministry at Living Waters Church.

Mike has seen baseball games in all but three Major League cities and in all has been to over 2000 games. He also has had a few interesting meetings during those times including getting chauffeured by Phil Rizzuto, having lunch with Tom Seaver, and nearly avoiding a car accident with Mo Vaughn.

Sue Amerman is a retired teacher. She taught in the elementary and pre-school setting for 30 years.  In the last 9 years, she worked in an ABA classroom with autistic children. She currently serves at Living Waters Church, teaching the Bible and leading women’s ministry.   She has seen a need to reach women in crisis and is currently leading a support group to help women find their strength and healing from a relationship with Jesus. God has also given her an opportunity to work with teenage girls – True Beauty Teens.
Life and ministry have taught Sue many things about the transforming power, love and mercy of God. She has walked through many trials but has always found Him faithful.
Through her speaking ministry, “From the Heart”, Sue shares this message of hope – how God has spoken to her in the dark places of life – with women who need answers and encouragement. You can also visit her devotional blog – Good Morning Ladies-

A worship leader for 10 years, Janice loves singing and playing her guitar for the church. She is a 2002 graduate from William Paterson University with a degree in Health and Physical Education.
